The identification of genetic mutations associated with these diseases would contribute to a better diagnosis and risk stratification of patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Cardio Solution<\/strong> of Sophia Genetics covers the coding (and binding regions) of <strong>31 clinically relevant genes<\/strong>, associated with <strong>arrhythmias and cardiomyopathies<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The kit uses NGS capture technology and is intended for use on Illumina platforms. It also allows the detection of <strong>SNV, CNV <\/strong>and <strong>Indels<\/strong>, and guarantees a high percentage of readings and uniformity of coverage, even in GC regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dlongwood.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/sophia-cardio-genes-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3553\" title=\"\"><figcaption><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>A extended version of this panel, <strong>CAS extended<\/strong>, is available. It studies a total of <strong>128 genes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>The results are interpreted in the <strong>SOPHiA DDM platform<\/strong>, designed for the analysis and protection of clinical NGS data.
