Using aminopeptidases that successively cleave the N-terminal amino acids (NAA), the system captures the fluorescent signal emitted during each recognizer binding event. This signal generates a kinetic signature specific to each amino acid, which allows it to be identified. The process is repeated until the peptide is completely sequenced.
