The assay allows to study whether the post-transplant graft has adapted to the recipient and allows early detection of rejection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In <strong>one PCR reaction<\/strong>, the twelve polymorphic autosomal Short Tandem Repeat (STR) loci D2S1360, D3S1744, D4S2366, D5S2500, D6S474, D7S1517, D8S1132, D10S2325, D12S391, D18S51, D21S2055, and SE33 (ACTBP2) as well as the gender-specific marker Amelogenin are amplified simultaneously. The primers are fluorescence-labeled with <strong>6-FAM\u2122<\/strong>, <strong>BTG<\/strong> or <strong>BTY<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dlongwood.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/biotype_resultados_quimera-1024x563.png\" alt=\"biotype_resultados_quimera\" class=\"wp-image-1290\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The STR loci were chosen with respect\u00a0to their high discrimination power. Most of the highly polymorphic markers were validated by monitoring chimerism of over 200 HLA-matched related donor-recipient-pairs (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/14671648?ordinalpos=3&#038;itool=EntrezSystem2.PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsPanel.Pubmed_DefaultReportPanel.Pubmed_RVDocSum\" target=\"_blank\">Thiede et al., 2004<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Mentype<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0Chimera<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0PCR Amplification Kit is <strong>very sensitive<\/strong>. The detection limit is less than 200 pg genomic DNA.
