CatalogMicrobiologyBacteria
The composition of the bacterial population, the MICROBIOTA, is important in many physiological processes. Intestinal microbiota is related to the efficiency of the immune system and the protection against pathogens. It is known that alterations in the bacterial population are associated with several pathological syndromes.
The use of a standardized test can help to identify bacterial profiles already associated with specific pathologies and can be useful in identifying new bacterial profiles for the study of corrective therapies.
Arrow Diagnostics Microbiota kits offer an easy solution for the characterization of the microboiota by NGS in several biological samples (stool, rectal swab, vaginal swab, cutaneous swab, saliva...).
This in vitro assay is based on the amplification of nucleic acids by PCR of the hypervariable regions of the prokariotic 16S ribosomal RNA gene (16S rRNA) from an unknown population for the evaluation of the microbiota.
The results are analyzed automatically in Arrow’s software.
