Fast and accurate solution for high-resolution HLA typing using Oxford Nanopore sequencing technology, from sample to result in under 5 hours.

Detailed Description

Nanotype® is a comprehensive solution from Werfen for high-resolution HLA typing based on nanopore sequencing technology (Oxford Nanopore Technologies). Designed to deliver fast, accurate, and complete results, it provides detailed genomic information for 11 HLA loci in a single workflow, from sample to final analysis, in under 5 hours.

Nanotype Workflow

The Nanotype® workflow relies on a long-range PCR strategy covering all relevant HLA genes, followed by optimized library preparation and real-time sequencing. Thanks to the continuous, full-molecule read provided by nanopore technology, the system delivers results with fully assembled haplotypes, eliminating the need for subsequent ambiguous resolution phases.

Data analysis is performed using dedicated software, which provides allele assignment, automatic read validation, and intuitive visualization of the covered regions. Furthermore, it incorporates a clinical variant interpretation tool, facilitating decision-making in histocompatibility and transplant environments.

Nanotype® allows the sequencing of multiple samples in a single workflow, making it ideal for laboratories looking to optimize turnaround time without compromising quality or genetic coverage.
