Using this viral surveillance panel with the Illumina RNA Prep with Enrichment library prep kit enables researchers to obtain whole genome sequencing (WGS) data to characterize 66 viruses of high public health risk. It includes SARS-CoV-2, influenza, monkeypox virus, and poliovirus.
The design enables proactive and comprehensive pathogen surveillance. Hybrid capture panels allow for variation in viral genomes, enabling detection of mutations and new strains.
